About Us

Spring Creek Youth Association

Welcome to Spring Creek Youth Association home of the “Gators”.

We would like to take a moment to tell you a little about the organization.  Spring Creek Youth Association was founded in 1984 by Shorty Jones Sr and Gaynell (Jones) Carmack with Basketball in Seven Springs gym. Roy Whitfield started the baseball program a couple years later.  Since conception SCYA has expanded over the years with the support our community and many volunteers.

SCYA is a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for team sports to children in our community.  Since its conception we have been able to offer a full range of team sports such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, softball, soccer and tee ball.  Volunteers are the foundation of our organization and we rely on volunteers from the local community to keep Spring Creek Youth Association operating.  Our funding comes from registration fees, concession and fundraising. There are expenses with each sport which includes equipment, facility charges, facility maintenance, insurance premiums and membership dues.

The purpose of this Association shall be to instill in youth the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence (and/or mutual respect) through various organized and supervised programs, bearing in mind that attainment of exceptional skills and/or winning of games shall be secondary to the aforementioned ideals.  We are glad you are a part of our Gator family and look forward to working with your children.

Thank you Spring Creek Youth Association
